National NAIDOC Innovation Award Category
Culture is Life’s National Fullaship Program provides tailored support for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Young Adults aged 18 - 30, aligned to four main pillars; Pathways, Advocacy, Leadership & Development and Mentoring.
The 12-month program and continued alumni engagement empowers participants to understand and strengthen their own self-determination, explores holistic wellbeing practices, and emphasises the importance of connection to Culture, Community and Country through reflective and practical experiences.
Fellows receive a range of support through virtual and in-person sessions, sharing their lived experiences, building connections to broaden their networks and participate in activities that aim to encourage each Fellow to develop their personal goals and aspirations.

Dr. Daniel Hunt
National NAIDOC Person Award Category
Dr. Daniel Hunt, a Jaru and Indjibarndi man, is both a General Practitioner and Dentist. He has extensive experience in the Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisation sector, served as Dentist, Deputy Medical Director, and Acting Chief Executive Officer.
Dr. Hunt is passionate about healthcare for priority populations and clinical governance. He is the Deputy Chair of the Blood Borne Viruses and Sexual Transmitted Infection Advisory Committee for Western Australia, stemming from an interest managing the Australian Syphilis epidemic. In 2022, he was awarded General Practitioner in Training of the Year for WA and in 2024, Indigenous Doctor of the Year.
