Rene Archer Indigenous Round 2021
Cairns Hockey and Aspire to be Deadly will be conducting and delivering its inaugural Indigenous Hockey Round on Friday 9th July @ 5pm.

We welcome you on behalf of Aspire to be Deadly students, family and community supporters, sponsors and hockey members and friends to celebrate indigenous culture with a special focus on this year’s NAIDOC Week theme, Healing Country.
The event name, Rene Archer Indigenous Round, was nominated to celebrate the significant contribution Rene Archer provided to junior hockey in Cairns through 1960-1990’s.
Rene Archer was made a life member of Cairns Hockey for her contribution to the development and the advancement of junior hockey across Cairns and regional areas and was awarded an OAM for her services to the community.
Cairns Hockey and Aspire to be Deadly are committed to increasing awareness of indigenous culture through-out the Cairns Hockey community and is encouraging more indigenous people to play hockey.
