MACKAY NAIDOC FAMILY FUN DAY

NAIDOC WEEK is a nationallY recognised Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander celebration. This year's theme is "for our elders". THE MACKAY NAIDOC INC. FAMILY FUN DAY will be held on Friday 7th July 2023. aFTER A WEEK OF CELEBRATION THIS IS THE FINAL EVENT TO CLOSE. CELEBRATIONS OF WHICH MANY OTHER EVENTS ARE HELD THROUGHOUT THE WEEK. at our ANNUAL EVENT EVERYONE IS WELCOME TO ATTEND AND EMBRACE THE UNIQUE CULTURES OF ABORIGINAL AND TORRES STRAIT ISLANDER PEOPLE'S. IT'S A TIME TO EMBRACE AND share our culturAL TRADITIONS with the wider community. a Street Parade WILL march through the City Heart along Victoria St and finishing at queens park. At queens Park we start the Family Day celebration which is attended by over 3000 people and a range of activities available for everyone of all ages. There will be traditional foods and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander entertainment throughout the day
