Meekatharra NAIDOC Week 2026 features a week of free community events delivered by local organisations and community partners, celebrating culture, community and connection.

This year's theme, "The Next Generation: Strength, Vision & Legacy," marks 50 years of NAIDOC Week. It celebrates the strength and resilience of those who have come before us, acknowledges the vision of today's leaders and communities, and recognises the important role of the next generation in carrying culture, knowledge and traditions into the future.

Join us as we officially launch NAIDOC Week 2026 with a Flag Raising Ceremony. Community members, Elders, local organisations and stakeholders are invited to come together to celebrate the beginning of NAIDOC Week and reflect on this year's theme. Following the ceremony, everyone is welcome to stay for morning tea and light refreshments, providing an opportunity to connect, celebrate and strengthen community relationships.
