Celebrating First Nations Culture - Community Open Day

Community are invited from 1pm for some food tastings and cultural games in the beautiful Blackburn Gardens at Redleaf. This will be followed by a Welcome to Country at 2pm and speech by Mayor of Woollahra. There will be a cultural dance workshop hosted by the Gamay dancers and other fun activities from 2.15pm - 3.15pm with a Curator guided tour of the Heart in Art Exhibition at Woollahra gallery at Redleaf between 3.15pm - 4pm. The Heart in Art Exhibition showcases First Nations artists working in some of the most remote art centres in Australia. Vibrant pieces include painting, works on paper, sculpture, and ceramics. The exhibition opens on Wednesday 28 June and runs until 23 July 2023. Bring your friends and family and your picnic rug and make the most of the afternoon!
