8. Town of Claremont NAIDOC Week Smoking Ceremony

   Join the Town of Claremont's Traditional Owner's at Lake Claremont for a Smoking Ceremony and Welcome to Country for NAIDOC Week. The 2023 NAIDOC Week theme 'For Our Elders' explores the importance of elders as cultural knowledge holders, trailblazers and advocates.

10. NAIDOC Week Smoking Ceremony and Flag Raising

    Join us for a traditional Smoking Ceremony as we recognise NAIDOC Week and the contribution of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.The ceremony will start with a Welcome to Country before a Smoking Ceremony and flag raising led by Noongar Elder Freda Ogilvie and members of our community.
