Thelma Plum, Baker Boy and Miiesha
Join us to celebrate NAIDOC week with an all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander line-up encompassing some of the most inspiring and influential voices in music. Thelma Plum is a compelling singer-songwriter with Triple J Unearthed, NIMA and DEADLY wins under her belt. Her courageous album ‘Better In Blak’ challenged themes of sexism and racism in an eloquent and heartening way, connecting with audiences across Australia. Baker Boy creatively showcases cultural elements, rapping in his native tongue Yolngu Matha as well as English, adding Arnhem Land instrumentals including the digeridoo and modernising important anthems such as Yothu Yindi’s ‘Treaty’. Miiesha blends the best of spoken word poetry, gospel and soul to create an inimitable stage presence. The ARIA award winning artist organically connects with her audience as she sings of her emotional lived experiences and community. Make way for an undeniable performance of blak magic, this is a night not to be missed. For more information, visit: https://winterinthedomain.com.au/naidoc-week-event/
