The Moogai

Blending contemporary life with Aboriginal storytelling traditions, The Moogai is a gripping film from writer and director Jon Bell.

Sarah and Fergus are a young Aboriginal couple adjusting to life with their growing family when they begin to experience unsettling events following the birth of their second child. As fear and uncertainty take hold, Sarah becomes increasingly convinced that something is threatening their children — forcing the family to confront forces both personal and deeply rooted in cultural memory.

Drawing on cultural story and psychological tension, the film explores themes of protection, motherhood and resilience.
