Storytime with illustrator Karen Briggs - a NAIDOC event
Join Karen Briggs for stories, drawing and learning of her culture from Yorta Yotra country in this fun and interactive session. Karen Briggs is an illustrator, graphic and digital designer and contemporary First Nations artist. She is a Yorta Yorta woman whose ancestral homeland radiates from the junction of the Goulburn and Murray Rivers in Northeast Victoria. Her first picture book, Kick with My Left Foot, written by Paul Seden, was published in 2014, and shortlisted for the CBCA Crichton Award in 2015. Her latest book is called Tell ’em! which was written by bestselling author Katrina Germein and Rosemary Sullivan with the children of Manyallaluk School and published by Harper Collins. This Storytime session is suitable for children aged 4-8 years. Bookings essential only for the children attending.
