South City Bulls RLFC Indigenous Round

South City Bulls RLFC – Group 9 Indigenous Round 2026

The South City Bulls RLFC will proudly celebrate the 2026 Group 9 Indigenous Round with a powerful mix of culture, community, and rugby league. Taking on the Kangaroos across League Tag, Under 18s, Reserve Grade, and First Grade, the Bulls will showcase strength across all grades in what promises to be a memorable day of football.

A special highlight of the round will be the First-Grade clash, which will see the introduction of the Pauly Simpson Cup, honouring the late Paul “Tank” Simpson. Known for his deep connection and valued relationships with both clubs, this tribute recognises his lasting impact on the rugby league community. With both teams coming together in his memory, the match is set to be a meaningful and emotional occasion.

Adding further significance, the South City Bulls will wear a specially designed Indigenous jersey for the round, created by Alison Simpson. The design, titled “Passing Down Knowledge,” reflects this unbroken exchange; the words of elders guiding the younger generations and the whole community strengthened by what is learned and shared.

The South City Bulls Women’s Rugby League team will also take the field against Brothers, proudly wearing the same symbolic jersey, reinforcing unity across the club and honoring culture through the game.

This Indigenous Round is more than just football—it is a celebration of heritage, respect, and remembrance, making it a truly special occasion for players, families, and the wider community.
