Each year Barkuma organise a family fun day in July to celebrate NAIDOC week. Our family day has a strong focus on providing positive access opportunities to various services, as well as raising cultural awareness within our local community. Barkuma invite an array of community and government services to share information not limited to housing, health, education, employment, disability supports, welfare assistance, etc. Each provider is required to engage with community by offering a free hands-on activity for all ages and abilities.
This day is free entry for all community to enjoy. We have free entertainment, amusements and activities. There are food and drinks available for purchase or you can bring your own picnic.
Barkuma take this opportunity to raise funds for it's community programs, through a community bbq and raffle, please bring cash to support this cause.
