Aboriginal Cultural Awareness Workshop NAIDOC Week
Aboriginal Cultural Awareness Workshop - NAIDOC Week
Auspire – Australia Day Council WA presents an Aboriginal Cultural Awareness and Understanding workshop during NAIDOC Week 2023. Delivered by Noongar leader, Danny Ford OAM, this workshop takes place within a culturally safe and inclusive framework. We will explore Aboriginal People's histories, values, belief systems, experiences and lifestyles. It also discusses the impacts of colonisation and how these still play out today with our First Peoples and mainstream Australia. For this special session, participants will take home a workshop booklet and a FREE copy of The Little Red Yellow Black Book. Morning and afternoon tea will also be served, plus lunch from Gather Foods that will include authentic First Nations’ ingredients and dishes.

Welcome to NAIDOC.

We acknowledge all First Peoples of the beautiful lands on which we live and celebrate their enduring knowledge and connections to Country. We honour the wisdom of and pay respect to Elders past and present.
