Wathaurong Aboriginal Co-operative Heal Country Walk/Run

Last year, our virtual NAIDOC Walk was a big hit, so this year we are pleased to be able to come together and walk on country in person. We are partnering with Clothing the Gap to host a Heal Country walk on Saturday 10th July, along the Barwon River, starting at Balyang Sanctuary. The event will have staggered start times, depending on the distance you sign up for: 9am - 42.2km 10am - 21.1km 11am - 10km 11:30am - 5km A BBQ lunch will be provided from 12pm. All Wathaurong mob are welcome to join us and the Co-op will cover the cost of your entry (normally $50), which includes a medal from Clothing The Gap. You can sign up to walk or run 5km, 10km, 21.1km or 42.2km. Please be aware that the free entry offer is for Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander people in the Wathaurong community. If allies wish to participate, they can register, but will be contacted to pay the $50 entry fee.
