Valley Reserve Guided Walk with Uncle Ian Hunter
Light paced and light hearted, join in a guided social walk with Uncle Ian Hunter and learn about the beauty of Valley Reserve. Valley Reserve is a 15-hectare bushland reserve situated within Mount Waverley. The reserve provides a vital habitat for a wide range of fauna and has remained intact as an insight into how Mount Waverley looked before urban development. Home to more than 55 native species, including 32 significant plant species, the reserve site is considered to be of Regional Zoological Significance. Wurundjeri Elder Uncle Ian Hunter will guide participants through the Reserve as a way of acknowledging First Nations understanding of Country, respecting cultural knowledge and celebrating NAIDOC Week 2022. This event is for people of all ages.

Welcome to NAIDOC.

We acknowledge all First Peoples of the beautiful lands on which we live and celebrate their enduring knowledge and connections to Country. We honour the wisdom of and pay respect to Elders past and present.
