Two Girls from Amoonguna exhibition

Experience Two Girls from Amoonguna, a powerful exhibition featuring new work by Arrernte and Southern Luritja artist Sally M Nangala Mulda and Western Arrarnta artist Marlene Rubuntja.

Through video, painting and soft sculpture, the exhibition shares the artists’ intertwined stories of friendship, resilience and lived experience in the Central Desert community of Mparntwe (Alice Springs). At its centre is the animated work Arrkutja Tharra, Kungka Kutjara, Two Girls, created in collaboration with Ludo Studio.

Playful yet deeply reflective, the works highlight the humour, strength and cultural richness of town camp life while exploring themes of identity, history and connection.

This exhibition is part of the City of Joondalup's 2026 NAIDOC Week celebrations.

Welcome to NAIDOC.
