Sweet As

A warm and uplifting coming-of-age film from Nyul Nyul/Yawuru director Jub Clerc, following a group of teenagers on a life-changing road trip through Western Australia’s Pilbara region.

When 15-year-old Murra is given an unexpected opportunity to join a supervised “photo-safari for at-risk kids”, she reluctantly leaves behind a difficult home life and sets off on a journey into Country with a group of fellow teens who each carry their own challenges.

As the group travels through remote landscapes, they begin to form unexpected friendships, discovering moments of humour, connection and self-reflection along the way. Against the striking backdrop of the Pilbara, their journey becomes one of growth, resilience and belonging.
