We are back with Nova Peris!! Unfortunately, we had to postpone this event due to the last Melbourne COVID lockdown but we now have Nova back in Melbourne. This is an intimate event for friends of Kofkin Bond & Co to listen to one of Australia’s greatest achievers in life. The amazing and inspirational Nova Peris: First Aboriginal Australian to win gold at the 1996 Olympic Games - in field hockey with the HockeyRoos Represented Australia in two different Olympics in two completely different sports being field hockey in 1996 and athletics in 2000 Double Gold medallist - 1998 Commonwealth Games - 200m & 4x100m relay Numerous world championship medals The first mother to be a gold medallist for Australia since 1956 Australia's first Indigenous woman elected to federal parliament - On 7 September 2013 Senator for Northern Territory - 2013 till 2016 Ambassador for the Australian Indigenous Education Foundation Wife and inspirational mother! Details of this event: When: Tuesday the 13th of July Where: Kofkin Bond & Co - Level 9, 21 Victoria Street Melbourne 3000 Time: 5:30pm arrival Canapes and drinks will be served. Nova’s inspirational story of discipline, willpower, goal setting, overcoming obstacles, natural talent isn’t enough, helping aboriginal children. Nova will commence at 6pm. We are limited to numbers, if you could RSVP, it would be appreciated.
