Ngune - Healing Country Festival
For 2021 NAIDOC Theme "Heal Country", the South East Tasmanian Aboriginal Corporation and Weetapoona Aboriginal Corporation are hosting a Festival which is centred around healing country, focusing on Aboriginal Traditional Burning Practices, Ngune-Healing Country, will be held on Friday the 2nd and Sat the 3rd of July 2021. Ngune means fire in the South East Nations Aboriginal Language. The Ngune- Healing Country will be held on Murrayfields, Aboriginal owned and operated farm on Bruny Island, Nuenone Country.
