Newcastle Naidoc Festival

Awabakal Ltd is proud to deliver the Newcastle NAIDOC celebrations in
partnership with local Aboriginal organisations and service providers. This
annual, free community event brings together Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal
people from across New South Wales to celebrate culture, promote
understanding, and strengthen community connection.
The day starts with the Smoking and March at Civic Park at 9:00am. The March then takes community to Foreshore Park for a free family festival with rides, entertainment, stalls, activities and a yarning circle. Celebrating 50 years of Deadly, the event is showcasing local talent in dance groups and performers with Street Warriors as the main act
