NAIDOC Week: Understanding Mental Health within Our Indigenous Communities
NAIDOC Week: Understanding Mental Health within Our Indigenous Communities
'Heal Country' is the theme for NAIDOC week this year (4 to 11th July) and in a time of Covid and uncertainty, it certainly is a poignant reminder of what has been and what can be if we all work together. We are very honoured to have Tanja Hirvonen, Board Director of the Australian Indigenous Psychologists Association present a webinar in the leadup to NAIDOC week on 'Understanding Mental Health within Our Indigenous Communities' Key focus areas - 1) Tanja sharing with us her lived experience as a clinician and early career researcher 2) Discussing Social and Emotional Wellbeing concepts for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples 3) Explaining about NAIDOC week / this year’s theme - what YOU can do now and into the future

Welcome to NAIDOC.

We acknowledge all First Peoples of the beautiful lands on which we live and celebrate their enduring knowledge and connections to Country. We honour the wisdom of and pay respect to Elders past and present.
