NAIDOC Week Teens Workshop: Exploration and Mapping

Keep the Fire Burning! Blak, Loud and Proud at this NAIDOC Week workshop, designed for teens aged 13 – 17 years.

Join artist Judy Watson for a walking tour of her exhibition, mudunama kundana wandaraba jarribirri and the Gallery surrounds. Hear histories of significant places such as Kurilpa Point and the Maiwar Green.

Create a map of your shared journey with ochre, paint, and natural found objects, guided by artists Tor Mclean and Sandy Harvey. Express yourself while gaining a deeper understanding of First Nations peoples’ ongoing connections to land, culture, and art.

No prior art marking experience required / Designed for teens aged 13 -17 years only.
