NAIDOC Week at Rouse Hill Estate

EVENT CANCELLED Unfortunately this event has been cancelled due to severe wet weather and the poor and hazardous site conditions at Rouse Hill Estate. We have made this difficult decision with the safety of our visitors, performers and facilitators in mind Celebrate NAIDOC Week with us and this year’s theme, ‘Get up! Stand up! Show up!’ on Darug Country at Rouse Hill Estate on Sunday 10 July. Begin the day with a Welcome to Country and Smoking Ceremony. Connect with Aboriginal culture, past and present and take part in a range of activities throughout the day including performances, storytelling, weaving and art. Take part in a range of family-friendly activities throughout the day: • Experience a corroboree and enjoy performances by Nulungu Dreaming and Gumaroy Newman. • Connect with Country through painting and weaving. • Learn Darug language and join the yarning circle. • Explore the historic Rouse Hill Estate. Free entry There is no parking on site due to unsuitable event parking conditions. Free return shuttle buses will run on the day.
