NAIDOC Sunrise Ceremony

Join us at sunrise on Wadawurrung Sea Country for a special community celebration recognising 50 years of NAIDOC Week.

Monday, 6 July 2026
7.15am arrival for a 7.30am start
Barwon Heads end of Bukareeyoo (Google Maps link can be found here)

Featuring:
• Welcome to Country
• Smoking Ceremony
• Didgeridoo playing
• Community gathering at sunrise

Following the celebration, children and families are warmly invited to stay for a special activity celebrating connection to Country and the plants and animals of Wadawurrung Sea Country.

Hosted by Barwon Coast in collaboration with Wadawurrung Traditional Owners Aboriginal Corporation.
