Jnr Rangers Bizarre Bugs and Bush foods - Melbourne

Kids! Why are bugs important to the world? What is bush food? Discover the answer to these questions and more in this fun filled session.

Led by educators from our Traditional Owner organisation, the Wurundjeri Woi-wurrung Cultural Heritage Aboriginal Corporation and City of Melbourne Park Rangers, in this NAIDOC week session children will explore:

- Bush foods, guided by, Tully, an Aboriginal Educator at Wurundjeri, who brings with them a wealth of knowledge stemming from their Ballardong Noongar heritage. Working at Wurundjeri allows Tully to share this knowledge every day, connecting with the land and spreading ecological awareness to future generations.

- Stick insects, bees and water bugs – what they do and what they tell us about ecosystem health.

This free interactive session is for Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander children aged 5 - 12-years-old.

Children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian, please book your ticket first and then add the kids
