Family-friendly NAIDOC Week Cultural Celebration and Morning Tea
Bridge Darebin invites you to join us for a family-friendly NAIDOC Week Cultural Celebration and Morning Tea at our Preston site! This family-friendly event will include Indigenous story-time, craft activities, delicious morning tea and much more to facilitate learning about culture and Country. Our social enterprise cafe Moon Rabbit, will be selling a morning tea and lunch featuring Indigenous bush foods, and donating a portion of sales to VACCA. Book your place here: https://bit.ly/3gyBzqU
 Tickets available on a sliding scale. All proceeds from this event will be donated to Victorian Aboriginal Child Care Agency (VACCA) as part of their annual Morning Tea For Culture fundraiser, which supports Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children who are in foster care, kinship and residential care and vulnerable families in our community. Jo Pappas is a descendant of the Kokatha/Mirning tribes from the east of South Australia, living in Naarm for over 28years. Jo will be leading an all ages craft activity from 10:45am. Jo uses natural fibres, raffia, native grass’ and reusing wool and natural products where possible for packaging, ‘Made with love of my culture and the memories and knowledge of my ancestors’.
