Catherine Asquith Art Advisory in partnership with Venetian Media Group (VMG) is delighted to announce the forthcoming exhibition in the VMG Art Series: “Earth Burns, Water Cries” by Aboriginal artist Wayne Quilliam (July to September 2021). "Earth Burns, Water Cries" by Wayne Quilliam will launch during NAIDOC Week. The exhibition comprises photographic works from the Lowanna, Towindri and Smoke series and will highlight the NAIDOC 2021 theme, “Heal Country”. As Wayne notes, “this work represents the current state of flux, this time of alienation, separation and unnoticed noise. These futuristic compositions might at first glimpse appear peaceful, but in truth, they point to an alarming state for modern society. The noise is deafening as the ancestors speak, crying to us to “Heal Country”. (June 2021) The exhibition will be on display at Venetian Media Group’s (VMG) Melbourne offices and viewing will be strictly by appointment.

Welcome to NAIDOC.

We acknowledge all First Peoples of the beautiful lands on which we live and celebrate their enduring knowledge and connections to Country. We honour the wisdom of and pay respect to Elders past and present.
