Discovery Session: Noongar Language Workshop

Learn Noongar words and phrases in a fun and welcoming setting. Led by a qualified Noongar educator, this introductory workshop offers a practical and empowering way to connect with local language and culture. No prior knowledge required.

Please note, Whadjuk Aboriginal Corporation are no longer available to facilitate this workshop. The new facilitator is Yalkarang.

About Yalkarang
Yalkarang was founded by Tamara Tucker, a Noongar/Yamatji woman passionate about helping others grow in their understanding of Aboriginal culture and language.
Through her work, Tamara creates meaningful connections between people and place — sharing Noongar language, delivering cultural awareness training, and guiding organisations to walk respectfully alongside First Nations communities. Yalkarang means to blossom — reflecting Tamara’s vision for individuals and organisations to blossom through learning, understanding, and genuine cultural responsiveness.

For further information on this event please call the City on 9400 4751
