Damper Making with Roni Forrest

Join Roni Gray Forrest for a hands‑on damper‑making session celebrating Noongar culture as part of NAIDOC Week. Participants will enjoy cooking damper while learning about bush tucker, cultural traditions, and the importance of sharing knowledge and stories.

Roni is a Noongar–Ngadju woman and Director of Wildfire, with strong experience in Aboriginal heritage, education, and community work. She is highly regarded for her knowledge of bush tucker and has worked with schools and communities to share cultural learning through food.

Roni’s warm storytelling and cultural knowledge create a relaxed and welcoming experience focused on connection, culture, and learning together.
For children and young people aged 6–18 years.

Welcome to NAIDOC.

We acknowledge all First Peoples of the beautiful lands on which we live and celebrate their enduring knowledge and connections to Country. We honour the wisdom of and pay respect to Elders past and present.
