Connecting Through Culture: Aboriginal Basket Weaving Workshop

Join us for a free Aboriginal Basket Weaving Workshop and experience a meaningful opportunity to learn about the cultural significance of traditional Aboriginal weaving.

Facilitated by an Aboriginal weaver, participants will be guided through traditional weaving techniques while learning about the stories, knowledge and cultural practices connected to this art form. Each participant will create and take home their own handwoven basket.

This workshop provides a welcoming space for people of all backgrounds to come together, connect with community, and continue learning about and appreciating the rich cultures and traditions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

Date: Thursday, 23 July
Time: 10:00am – 12:00pm
Location: Strathfield Library, Rochester Street, Homebush

This is a free community event; however, places are limited and registrations are essential.
