Carriageworks Nights: NAIDOC
Carriageworks Nights: NAIDOC
Carriageworks presents music, spoken word and poetry for Elders and young people to connect and share during NAIDOC Week. Proud Erub psychedelic pop artist Sycco headlines the night with their sensory lyricism and soulful sound. At just 21-years-old, Sycco will perform an intimate show with her full band in the Public Space. She is joined by breakout hip hop artist Dobby (Murrawarri) as well as violinist Eric Avery (Ngiyampaa/Yuin/Bandjalang/Gumbangirr). Kirli Saunders (Gunai) and Jazz Money (Wiradjuri) will open the night with compelling spoken word and poetry. This years NAIDOC Week theme is ‘For our Elders,’ Carriageworks celebrates this by creating a space for Elders whilst also creating the opportunity of cross generational sharing. Free event.

Welcome to NAIDOC.

We acknowledge all First Peoples of the beautiful lands on which we live and celebrate their enduring knowledge and connections to Country. We honour the wisdom of and pay respect to Elders past and present.
