Art Competition
We are excited to announce that We Care are offering an opportunity for our community to showcase their artistic talents, to this year’s NAIDOC theme, Heal Country: “Heal Country! – calls for all of us to continue to seek greater protections for our lands, our waters, our sacred sites and our cultural heritage from exploitation, desecration, and destruction. Country that is more than a place and inherent to our identity. Country that we speak about like a person, sustaining our lives in every aspect - spiritually, physically, emotionally, socially, and culturally.” We invite the community to create their own artwork using the themes above, and what Heal Country means to them. Any materials / mediums welcome and the artwork can be of any size. Participants should provide a small sentence to go with their artwork with a description. A panel will judge entries. *Please note, this is only open to non-professional artists. 1st prize is a $500 pre-paid visa card, 2nd prize is a $250 - $500 pre-paid visa card. Entries Close at 5pm Wednesday July 21st. (This competition is unfortunately not open to anyone employed by We Care NSW.)

Welcome to NAIDOC.

We acknowledge all First Peoples of the beautiful lands on which we live and celebrate their enduring knowledge and connections to Country. We honour the wisdom of and pay respect to Elders past and present.
