Aboriginal Contemporary Dance Workshop
Creative Caring in partnership with Woollahra Council is hosting an Aboriginal contemporary dance class at the Woollahra Gallery at Redleaf to celebrate NAIDOC week and we invite you to participate. In this session, you will learn about Indigenous culture through movement from one of Sydney's leading Indigenous dance artists, Jasmin Sheppard". Participants will have the opportunity to dance and have exclusive access to the Gallery space including viewing of the current exhibition. Participants may take this class either seated or standing, according to their own comfort. This dance event is an all-abilities class. The venue is fully accessible. Participants are welcome to come along and watch or enjoy the class from a seated position. Please get in touch with the Community & Culture team if you have any questions and/or needs for the day by e-mailing community@woollahra.nsw.gov.au. Location: Woollahra Gallery at Redleaf 548 New South Head Rd, Double Bay Catering: light refreshments will be served after the workshop and opportunity to view artwork at the gallery. Getting here: Parking and public transport are available nearby. There are two disability parking spaces available outside the Council Chambers. There is a public car park located at Cross Street, Double Bay. If you are arriving via UBER or TAXI please request a drop or collection at the Council Chambers.
