Photography Exhibition: “The Next Generation: Strength, Vision & Legacy”

The Next Generation: Strength, Vision & Legacy is an immersive photography exhibition by Ripple Narratives, presented at Heart Space Copa for NAIDOC Week 2025. This powerful event brings together two deeply moving portrait series — the Pilbara Portrait Series and the Shaede Project. Together, they explore the resilience and vibrancy of Aboriginal children and families in remote communities and the powerful reclamation of identity and visibility by Blak & Queer artist Dylan “Shaede” Hoskins.

Visitors are invited to witness these stories through evocative images and participatory elements, including barefoot walks in red desert sand that ground the experience in connection to Country. The exhibition creates a space for truth-telling, reflection, and deep engagement, urging us to confront the structural inequalities shaping lives today while celebrating the strength and vision of the next generation. Entry is free from July 4–13 at Heart Space Copa.

Welcome to NAIDOC.

We acknowledge all First Peoples of the beautiful lands on which we live and celebrate their enduring knowledge and connections to Country. We honour the wisdom of and pay respect to Elders past and present.
