The National NAIDOC Committee have partnered with Meta to commission NAIDOC Art poster winner, and Nardurna Creative Director, Ryhia Dank for the production of a series of Instagram story templates, based on her official NAIDOC poster artwork.

The team at Indigenous media agency 33Creative designed and produced an exclusive set of templates, based on Ryhia's original artwork, designed to encourage Australians to connect with the 2022 NAIDOC theme and Get up! Stand Up! Show Up! and support Indigenous owned creators, and businesses.

To begin NAIDOC Week, educational stories were released that celebrate First Nations people who have driven, and led change over generations, championing change, equal rights, and even basic human rights.

There are also two Instagram story templates, to empower Australians to make a pledge for how they plan to Get Up! Stand Up! and Show Up!, and to tag and share First Nations small businesses that they want others to discover.

Artist Ryhia Dank says: “My NAIDOC poster artwork highlights what we have been, and are still fighting for, and collaborating on these story templates is a brilliant opportunity to give all Australians a chance to use social media to celebrate NAIDOC, and to support and share the work of First Nations businesses and creators all over the country.”

National NAIDOC Committee Co-Chairs Shannan Dodson and John Paul Janke says: “The templates are a dynamic way that’s helps us increase our NAIDOC Week engagement with a greater audience -  and through that engagement we’re able to bring the celebration and promotion of  First Nations history and our champions to the nation.”

Alexandra Sloane, Meta's ANZ Director of Marketing says: "Amplifying the platforms and work of First Nations businesses is hugely important.  Meta are proud, as an official sponsor of  the 2022 NAIDOC Awards, and NAIDOC Week,  to develop these story templates alongside Ryhia and 33Creative, to champion and support First Nations small businesses, and creatives across Australia.”

Download the templates here or screenshot and share them from the official NAIDOC week Instagram page here, and tag and share your First Nation small business heroes for others to discover.

Meta is an Official Sponsor of NAIDOC Week 2022; this year being celebrated from 3 – 10 July.
