How to Submit

Nominate via the NAIDOC Submissions Platform, available on the Nominations page.

Submission Checklist

Ensure your nomination includes: 

  • A nominee who is 18+ and Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander
  • A 100–500 word written statement addressing all selection criteria
  • Clear examples of achievements, excellence, impact and future goals
  • Accurate contact details for both nominator and nominee
  • A signed Privacy Statement from both nominator and nominee
  • One nomination form per category – multiple categories are allowed with separate forms.

How to Write a Strong Nomination

Do:

  • Provide specific achievements and measurable impact
  • Use clear examples with outcomes
  • Address all selection criteria directly
  • Show how the nominee is a role model in their community.

Don’t:

  • Use vague statements without evidence
  • Repeat the same information in different words
  • Forget to include the signed Privacy Statement
  • Leave your submission to the last minute.
