Mr. Levi Briggs
Mr. Levi Briggs is a proud Gomeroi and Anaiwan man, inspired by the legacy of his Great Grandfather, Bill Smith, co-founder of Awabakal Ltd. Guided by strong cultural values and a deep commitment to community, Levi is dedicated to creating positive change through education, advocacy and youth empowerment.
Levi currently works as an Executive Officer at Awabakal Ltd, where he supports strategic initiatives and contributes to the ongoing growth and strength of the organisation.
Levi is currently undertaking a Bachelor of Education, building his capacity to deliver culturally inclusive teaching for future generations. He is also the owner of Mimiga Wajaar meaning (Mother Earth), which was inherited from his Great Grandfather. The business is youth-focused that delivers mentoring, workshops and cultural programs to inspire pride, leadership and connection to culture.
In addition, Levi serves on the Board of Directors at Biraban Local Aboriginal Land Council, where he contributes to governance and advocacy supporting Aboriginal communities across the region. In 2026, he was also selected to represent Indigenous Australia at the Oztag World Cup in Coffs Harbour, reflecting his commitment to leadership, teamwork and community both on and off the field.
