Latishamarie Francis

National NAIDOC Youth Award Category
Latishamarie Francis

Latishamarie Francis is a proud Narungga, Kaurna, and Ngarrindjeri woman from South Australia. She is passionate about wildlife, nature, and cross-cultural exchange. A student, artist, conservationist, wildlife rescuer and advocate for Indigenous knowledge in environmental conservation, Latisha brings her heart to everything she does.

She has represented Australia on the world stage through the Ship for World Youth program and proudly stands as a woman in STEM. This year, she launched a program called “Global Dreaming”, which empowers young people to become global citizens and discover opportunities both within their communities and abroad.

Latisha is also a big sister to many, and when she’s not working on these incredible initiatives, you’ll likely find her on the rugby field with her family. She is truly honoured and grateful to be a finalist for such an amazing award.

Welcome to NAIDOC.
