National NAIDOC Creative Talent Award Category
Jarnda Councillor-Barns

Jarnda is a proud Karajarri, Naaguja, Noongar, and Māori woman living in Boorloo (Perth). As a young mum and Blak business owner, she founded Jarnda Bina Art to create space for culture, connection, and community through visual storytelling.

Her work uplifts and empowers the next generation by celebrating identity, strength, and belonging. Grounded in the values of her Ancestors, Jarnda leads with heart and purpose — using her voice and creativity to inspire young people to walk proudly in their truth. She is building a legacy rooted in culture, driven by vision, and guided by the strength of her matriarchs.

Welcome to NAIDOC.
