HISTORIC FLAG RAISING IN THE DERWENT VALLEY
On Friday 8 July, Derwent Valley Council will undertake a historic flag-raising ceremony outside the Council Chambers in New Norfolk.
The event will include a Welcome to Country and a Tasmanian Aboriginal smoking ceremony is expected to be attended by representatives of the Tasmanian Aboriginal community, local business and community sectors, students, Council staff and Elected Members. All are welcome. The ceremony will be followed by light refreshments.
