James Tylor artist talk at CCAS and Springbank Island
Join us to celebrate the exhibition opening for From an untouched landscape, an exhibition by James Tylor. At Canberra Contemporary Art Space, Tylor will talk in depth about the works on display, how they highlight the contemporary absence of Aboriginal culture within the Australian landscape and how this phenomenon is a direct result of the impact of European colonisation. Afterwards, join us on a boat ride from Commonwealth Place to Springbank Island where Tylor will talk about his Contour 556 installation, The Dwelling. The boat will leave from commonwealth place at 3.40pm and return at 5pm. Please note, the artist talk at Canberra Contemporary Art Space is free however bookings are essential. James Tylor is represented by Vivien Anderson Gallery, Melbourne.
