As One - a celebration of working together for community
is an exhibition by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander artists living with disability.
The exhibition features works by artists from the Nandjimadji Art Group,based on the Sunshine Coast.
The Nandjimadji Art Group is sponsored by Suncare.
Also on display will be two outrigger canoes on loan from the Mooloolaba Outrigger Club
that have been painted by members of the Nandjimadji Art Group.
Red Desert Gatherings
An exhibition of artworks created by artists of the Red Desert Gatherings art program, Alice Springs,
founded in 2010 by not-for-profit organisation, Steps Group Australia. Red Desert Gatherings
support Indigenous artists in a nurturing work environment in which to paint and
share the traditional stories and culture of this land.
Board the Goombuckar Indigenous Cultural Bus this Family Day to learn about our local Indigenous Places, people and culture. Then join in for some art activities inspired by the latest exhibition.
‘Belongingness’- Identity to one’s sense of place
Sunshine Coast artist Hope O’Chin’s creative exploration through paintings and photographs of storylines illustrate her perspective of a contemporary sense of place through language, storytelling and poetry in arts and education.
