Local NAIDOC Events Calendar
provide experiences and resources for each age group
The children, educators and families will be celebrating Naidoc week. Every day, we endeavour to respectfully embed indigenous perspectives into our program by joining together for a daily acknowledgment of country, participating in yarning circles and having stories, music and visual images that represent indigenous perspectives. During the lead up to Naidoc week, we have invited Aunty Di, a local indigenous lady to visit us and share stories of her cultural heritage. We will also do songs, dancing and art work to celebrate.
Fun day for all the family, free to all that attend, we will commence with official Welcome to Country, followed by the Gubbi Gubbi dancers, there will be free amusement rides for the kids, lots of child and family friendly activities, and you can either bring your own lunch along or purchase it from the mobile food vans that will be on site.
